The Japanese publishing company PHP Institute (PHP Kenkyuujo) will start a new light novel label that's titled "Smash Bunko" (スマッシュ文庫). Its described as a super light new dimension light novel label that's loaded with illustrations.
The label is scheduled to start on March 10th, 2010 with the release of the following two light novel titles:
- Author: Hiyoshi Akira
- Illustrator: Akayama Toshifumi
- Author: Mikazuki Kougetsu
- Illustrator: Usatsuka Eiji (The illustrator of the "The Familiar of Zero" (Zero no Tsukaima) light novel series)
And the following light novel title will be released in April 2010:
Hakouji Neruno to Daten Ressha Jiken
- Author: Kido Minori
- Illustrator: Yamamoto Keiji
Updated: "Hakouji Neruno to Daten Ressha Jiken" will be released in April.

From the bishoujo/moe characters on the covers it seems obvious that they are aiming at the moe/otaku market... so this is most likely a shounen light novel label.

That actually sounds very interesting. Unfortunately, my English is not so good, but I'll follow the label a little bit, and watch what it makes in future. Maybe there's something which is also what might be for me. At least I'm still generally interested in such things. I find this whole Manga novels are becoming more extensive and sophisticated. As you should already trying to stay up to date. It's worth it.
