This review is of the third volume of Souridaijin Noeru! (Prime Minister Noeru!) light novel series.

Japanese title: 総理大臣 のえる! (3) 乙女の怒りは最終兵器
English title: Souridaijin Noeru! (3) Otome no Ikari wa Saishuu Heiki

Author: Asuka Shota
Illustrator: Tsurugi Yasuyuki (the illustrator of the Shokutaku ni Beer wo light novel series)
Available volumes: 8 volumes (finished)

Publisher: Kadokawa Shoten
Label: Sneaker Bunko

Noeru is a 14 year old girl. She made a deal with a black cat named Mephi(Mephistopheles), and in that deal, she exchanged 30 years of her life for getting the Prime Minister's position. Once she got the position, she abused her power and implemented lots of crazy policies. She is a wild tomboy that, back in her school days, has spent time making fun of her boyfriend.

In this volume, the story becomes a bit serious. It's set in the world soon after 9/11.

In between a Japan-U.S. summit meeting, Noeru planned to meet her very close friend Sara, a wrongly impaired Iraqi girl that had her leg affected by the radiation from the depleted uranium shells that were used in the Gulf War. She was adopted by an American doctor and grew up in America, while studying very hard at the same time. At the place of the appointment between Noeru and Sara, the World Trade Center, Sara was killed by the terrorist attack. Noeru was very shocked to see that with her own eyes, but eventually, she finally decided to go to "Urumstan" to stop the outbreak of war, and to take the mastermind's head off.

This volume is not bad, because the feelings of the characters have reality to them.

Asuka Shota's latest work is "Hatsukoi Magical Blitz (9) Kiss wa Futari no Ai Kotoba!" (illustrated by Tenhiro Naoto of "Sister Princess" fame). If you want to read a 100% moe love comedy, then I would also recommend this light novel series.
